The President Abinee, Barbato, believes that the segments that should boost the sector in 2010 are the telecommunications, especially in the infrastructure and bandwidth, computing, and energy, especially the area of generation. "Next year, generation begins to have a major impact, because, with the World Cup and the Olympics, we can not have any blackout in telecommunications, much less in the area of electricity. "
The trend is that the telecommunications industry experience 21% growth in 2010 and the computer 11%, "although there are companies that provide up to 20% for this sector," says Barbato. The challenges for 2010 include overcoming the difficulties to promote digital inclusion in the country and raising the rate of exchange to greater competitiveness of Brazilian exports and reduce imports, which currently represent 19% of revenues. The 7,000 layoffs by companies affiliated with the registered Abinee, due to the external crisis, were completely reversed in 2009, when the sector accounted for 160,000 vacancies, against 162,000 in 2008.
